What a wonderful way to kick off Marhow!
With perfect weather and a fantastic turnout, I could not be more pleased or appreciative. Thank you to everyone who came out last night to celebrate and show their support!
I had this idea for a launch party/trunk show six weeks ago, and many thought it couldn’t be done.. which is probably true. I could not have pulled it off without the help of Meg Rawson, Nasiba Hartland-Mackie, Steph Weibring, Andrea Overturf, Laura Pierson, or my supportive husband. Big thanks to you all and especially to my sponsors Papercity, Deep Eddy, Nectar Girl, and Dulce Vida. The Marhow Margarita’s and Papercity Vodkatini’s were a hit, and paired well with the gluten-free mini shrimp tacos, gluten-free crab cakes, and other hors d’oeuvres.
Thanks to DJ Elizabeth Farrell, the perfect mix of tunes created a fun vibe for guests to shop and mingle about the glass terrace of the Joule hotel. Stunning florals by Kathleen Hill of Leeny’s Flowers warmed the modern space with arrangements made of orange roses, white hydrangea, and green and white orchids.
The trunk show featured a variety of treasures and gifts from Susie Straubmueller handbags, Laura Pierson fine jewelry, Abi Paige cashmere, City+Sky accessories, LVcr8 home accessories, Joy Creative Shop stationary, and Beauty Bioscience Skincare. Thank you all for enthusiastically jumping on board and for sharing a portion of your proceeds with Seeds of Africa nonprofit foundation.
Overall, the night was a successful representation of what Marhow is all about.. it’s a platform for me to support the designs and ideas that excite me, and to benefit the causes I am passionate about. I hope to host this trunk show annually with other benefactors, and that you can join me again next time!
