A few weeks ago, I attended a luncheon and book signing for Kimberly Schlegel Whitman’s new book Monograms for the Home at John Cain’s photography studio. I was so impressed by the display of lovely linens adorned with personalized monograms as gifts for the attendees. Also on display were jars of various salads, ready to be shaken and consumed. Such a cute presentation! I enjoyed chatting with Kim about her new book (a signed copy of which now resides on my coffee table) and her new linen line in collaboration with Jen O’Neal called Halo Home.
Monograms for the Home (Kim’s seventh book to date) is a visual treat, and has pages and pages of ideas on how and where you can adorn your home with your own signature monogram. I love that Kim took this concept a step further by co-creating her own linen line to serve as a canvas to the monogramming ideas presented in her book.
I later swung by the launch of Halo Home at one of my favorite shops in town The Loveliest.. I’ve purchased some beautiful monogrammed blankets and baby clothes from this unique little shop, so was not surprised to see that they were hosting. I was thrilled to find the perfect wedding gift for a dear friend that evening.. a set of twelve Halo Home white linen cocktail napkins, with the couple’s new monogram embroidered in white thread.
If you would like to purchase a copy of this lovely book, St. Michael’s Woman’s Exchange in Highland Park Village will be hosting a book signing and Halo Home trunk show tomorrow (October 22nd) from 1-3.. they make great gifts!
Many congrats to both Kimberly Schlegel Whitman and Jen O’Neal on their success, and big thanks for including me!
